I loved working with Kelly & PJ. Wedding Genie had a great time coordinating their day and helping get their plans started with our Genie for An Evening service. Kelly & PJ took time out to tell us how they felt about our services.
Their Story
Hotel De Vin, a couple of bottles of wine, Kelly, Julie and I, and a few hours later, the beginning of an amazing journey….
Nine months later, and Kelly and I have been married over a month and our life is pure bliss. We have just come back from the most amazing honeymoon in Vegas, Mexico and New York and are moving into our dream home over the next few days.
What was all the panic about? Why did I not stress about the big day? Why do people say that planning your wedding was a nightmare? I can’t see what the fuss is as I feel completely relaxed and simply smile everytime I think about the day (and the months of planning before)….and you know why? It is because of Julie…..
I simply cannot thank her enough. If I had to list all words to describe Julie and her work, I would go on forever, but “professional”, “unique”, “hardworking”, “caring” and just “damn right lovely” (yes that is a real word!!) would be the first that spring to mind.
It is fair to say that without Julie, our big day would not have been as good as it was.
We have since been overwhelmed with people’s sentiments and kind opinions of our big day and a great deal focus on how “organised” it was. It was going to be some day to manage. The wedding would go from chapel, to gardens, to mansion, to food, to marquee, to disco, to fireworks and Julie had complete control of it all!!! (not to mention the DJ, guitarist, characturist, decoration, flowers, table plan, food etc)!!!
One part of the day that I will never forget was when I was giving my speech. I got to the standard part when I was to thank the family and the wedding party with gifts. I remember saying something along the lines of “Mom, thanks for all your help, you’ve been a star” and as I was saying “please accept these flowers as a token of my appreciation” I suddenly panicked and remembered that I did not have a clue where all the presents were!!! I needn’t have worred, as I turned to see not only the ever-smiling face of Julie, but all the presents lined up (in order) ready to be handed out!! Pure relief! This might not seem a massive deal, but trust me it was. The whole day was just like that..when something had to happen, it did, and Julie was behind everything!! The day was seamless and I cannot thank Julie enough.
Julie takes pride in her work. It shows. She is conscientious, friendly and really cares about your big day. My wife and her became good mates and she is one of the nicest people we have had the pleasure to meet. I hope we never have the need to get married again, but if we did we would definitely give Julie a call
