Wow! Yesterday my lovely friend Claire from the amazing English Wedding blog has written the most fabulous article on wedding photographers. This blog is the best place to learn what is happening in the wedding industry as well as being a mine of information for British brides.

I love the way Claire stays true to her beliefs. All the weddings she shows are from English photographers and they truly show the wedding. They are not chosen entirely because of how many details they have but to show the emotion and beautiful photography from the day.

Claire’s blog yesterday  was inspired by a comment from Fiona a London based photographer.

Often when I am trying to find good photographers for my couples I sometimes strive hard to find the right one for the budget that is set. Claire sent me this comment and asked me to reply to it a few weeks ago.

Fiona commented that many brides and grooms expect to find a top wedding photographer for £1000 — but that often they’re surprised by prices closer to £2000. ”

She also said this.

Fiona believes that wedding planners could play an important role in raising awareness of wedding photography pricing — and in educating couples “in how to get what is right for them, what to expect and how much they should expect to pay for it. I think it is only by strengthening the role of the planners that you will strengthen the industry.… a planner knows who they like to work with and who will do a good job, and they know what is reasonable to pay them.

Checkout the rest of this article and let me know what you think. Its a fabulous read and insight.

Until next time, happy planning.
