Today I just thought I would share some absolutely lovely words of marriage advice with you. I recently asked the guests at one of our weddings to give the bride and groom their best advice for a long and happy marriage.
One of the guests who was very close to the bride came up with some of the best sayings I have seen and I wanted to share them with you. So look no further if you want to give some really stunning marriage advice.
- No man is truly married until he understands every word his wife is NOT saying.
- Grief can take care of itself, but to get the full value of joy, you must have somebody to divide it with. – Mark Twain
- A happy man marries the girl he loves: a happier man loves the girl he marries.
- You may only be one person to the world, but you may also be the world to one person.
- Within your heart, keep one still, secret spot where dreams may go.
- Love is an act of endless forgiveness, a tender look which becomes a habit.
- Love doesn’t make the world go round, love is what makes the ride worthwhile.
- Love puts the fun in together, the sad in apart, the hope in tomorrow, the joy in the heart.
To love is to suffer. To avoid suffering one must not love. But then one suffers from not loving.
Therefore to love is to suffer, not to love is to suffer. To suffer is to suffer. To be happy is to love. To be happy then is to suffer. But suffering makes one unhappy. Therefore, to be unhappy one must love, or love to suffer, or suffer from too much happiness. I hope you’re getting this down. – Woody Allen
One last piece of advice – Pull together and live for each other.
Until next time, happy planning.
