Starting the Wedding Genie was a dream come true, I have a passion for people and organising is my obsession. After many years of working in sales and marketing and prior to that nursing, I found this role encompasses all the skills I have acquired along the way and lets me use them to help people have the best day of their lives. Yes, a cliche I know, but one that many brides will agree with once their day is over.
I have a very clear picture that I want to help couples create a wedding day that is full of all the little details that portray them as a couple. Its a day that their friends and family will feel was very special and that they were totally included.
Helping to arrange a wedding is quite a privilege. Working in the nursing profession has taught me a wealth of knowledge and not least of all how to empathise, listen and above all be approachable and friendly. When you choose someone to work with to help plan your wedding you need to be sure you really like and above all trust them. Its a magical time and you should feel you are able to discuss anything with them and that they are supportive of you. Weddings are fantastic but at times very stressful, its my job to keep you calm and ensure you enjoy the whole experience.
